Word of mouth marketing is definitely not a new technique in the marketing world. As this gem has been hiding in marketing for years, many people forget its effectiveness. However like most old things that stick around, this could be a key player in your next strike of new customers. Since people trust people they know over people they don’t word of mouth tends to be a convincing way of selling your product or service. If a person needs a service or product they are likely to talk to friends and family about it for an idea of where to find such a thing. If that family member or friend has used your service they can point them in the right direction and you end up with a new client. Or if you do something unique and let people know you exist, such as giving away free pizzas, or a free house cleaning or something similar people will remember you as that “kind and wonderful company” that you wish to be. This thought will stick in their head and when they hear of someone needing your service they will be quick to refer you! This article does a great job outlining the benefits of word of mouth marketing and how it could work for you. http://blog.livehelpnow.net/2012/05/7-strategies-word-of-mouth-customers/ Check it out and find your next big customer break!
Today was a beautiful day, a bit windy, and a bit warm. I grabbed a shot of my wind chime, as it is one of my favorite things here. As odd as that may be, but I do have a passion for wind chimes in general. I also met a squirrel today, though he was not very friendly. He also might have been the biggest squirrel I have ever met…more the size of a cat, less the size of a squirrel. I hope you all can catch some music of the wind, and nature in the next few days, for it really is beautiful outside.
Because I really don’t want to host my own pictures, I will be uploading to my flickr account for all of you. This is because photobucket has some new weird rule that if you don’t log into it for 90 days, it turns all your pictures into little signs that say “LOG IN!’. Due to this, my blog will be a little different, and I have to go reupload all my old pictures in this blog most likely. Please forgive me of the weird posts you see in the near future to fix those old posts. As a result of changing hosts, if you click a picture in the blog it will bring you to my flickr photostream. Feel free to look around there, for there is a lot of random scenery for you to gaze upon. If you want just the single post to look at though, like in olden days, you have to click the actual title of the post, not the picture. The posts will look better in my opinion anyways.
My deepest regards,
As some of you are aware, I am now in Madison Wisconsin, or close to, once more. I am pretty excited, for I really do love it here. However with all good things, there still seems to be a bit of sadness in moving. It is small, but it exists. Watching sunrises out my window in the morning were pretty spectacular in Minnesota. Here is a decent picture grabbed from my last morning back home. I love you mom, and Karl, and Mindy, and I miss you Mike! Live long and prosper.
And just when you thought you saw the last of me, and this blog had surely died, here I am with an update. Surprise? Well, again this summer I shall be away from many of you, working at a summer camp. Sooo after a few nudges I decided I would start photoblogging again. As some of you are aware; I am not good at keeping things up to date. I left the 12th of June and was super excited, but also terribly sorry I was leaving. I told you all to be ready for the flood of new pictures, and quick captions. I hoped that once more quick shots of still picture would bring us together despite distance, but this did not happen due to many factors, I am terrible, I know.
Well, this is my last day in MadTown. What a sad day it shall be. It has been such a great time, leaving is going to be hard. Overall Madison is a great city. During college days I can see it being hectic and unpleasant but in summer, I must say it is a wonderful place to be: plenty of water and nature, fun shopping, great food, awesome sales, and interesting people. Have I mentioned bridges here yet in this blog?! Because if you want to see some cool bridges, Madison’s got them. Tata my new friend, Minnesota I’m coming home.
I’m going to miss living right next to a zoo. Living right next to penguins and seals and prarie dogs! Whatever shall I do without my cute new friends.
